TALA 2023 Nominees

Two Texas State faculty accepted into the Texas Academic Leadership Academy (2023)

SAN MARCOS – The Texas Academic Leadership Academy (TALA) has accepted two Texas State University faculty members to the 2023-2024 cohort: Dr. Amy Weimer, Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences and Director of the School of Family & Consumer Sciences, and Dr. Philip Davis, Associate Professor, McCoy College of Business.

TALA is a program sponsored by the Texas Council of Chief Academic Officers, which aims to elevate professional development opportunities for faculty and aspiring leaders in academic affairs. TALA, now in its fifth year, supports, prepares and enhances the leadership skills of those aspiring to department and college level leadership positions. Faculty and leaders at all Texas institutions of higher education are eligible to participate, following nomination from their institutions.
